The national medalists of the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris 2024 were welcomed in the heart of Mexico City to receive the special incentives promised by the Telmex Foundation in case of reaching the podium. At this recognition event, Elías Ayub, Director of Strategic Alliances and Content at América Móvil, was present to deliver the incentives to the national athletes and to convey a strong message to the sports federations, calling for unity and criticizing their management.

In his statements, Ayub urged the federations to come together and set aside divisions, envies, and jealousy, to ensure the welfare of the athletes and focus on their development. In a call to action, he mentioned that it is time to work together and allocate resources to the athletes, avoiding unnecessary worries that may impair their performance. In addition, he pointed out the importance of maintaining constant support for the athletes on their way to represent Mexico in future international competitions.

On the other hand, he stressed the need for sports authorities to truly commit to sports and to athletes, avoiding empty speeches and acting decisively for the benefit of the entire sports community. He highlighted that a real and collaborative union among all entities involved in sports is fundamental to drive positive change and build a better environment for the development of Mexican athletes.

In this sense, Ayub emphasized the importance of teamwork and providing solid support to athletes so they can achieve their goals and represent their country in the best way possible in international competitions. He also expressed his willingness to collaborate and support athletes in their sports journey, reaffirming his commitment to the development and growth of Mexican sports.
